Pam Avery is currently a certified birth doula in the Gainesville, GA area. She serves the north metro Atlanta area as well. She loves serving moms-to-be and pregnant couples through childbirth education and constant support during and after their pregnancy. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for 37 years, mother to 5 grown children and “Gamma” to 2 beautiful granddaughters and 1 handsome grandson. She and her husband currently live in Gainesville, GA on Lake Lanier!

Pregnancy and birth have always been my passion and the sanctity of life, my mission.  I am drawn to pregnant women and my desire to help and encourage them gave me the desire to pursue becoming a doula.  I am certified through DONA International and have completed both childbirth and breastfeeding workshops. I am constantly continuing my education which include attending The Farm for a Midwife Assistant Workshop and becoming certified as a Childbirth Educator.

My personal experience with childbirth includes 2 vaginal deliveries, a cesarean section and a twin V-BAC delivery. I also breastfed all my babies including the twins. I was not familiar with “doulas” when I gave birth, but feel sure I would have loved and appreciated the presence of one.  Now I would like to share the comfort measures and techniques that I have learned with women during this most precious and special time of their lives.
