• Two prenatal visits to discuss the client’s desires and preparation for birth 
• Accompany client to doctor/midwife for one prenatal appointment
  
• Phone support as needed during pregnancy and immediate postpartum
• Assistance in creating a birth plan
• Continuous labor and delivery support as needed
• Breastfeeding support as needed post delivery
• Emotional, physical and informational support during labor and birth
  

As your birth doula:

• I understand the physiology of birth and your emotional needs before, during and just after you deliver.
• I will uphold your birth experience as a precious memory you will treasure forever.
  
• I will assist you in preparing for and fulfilling your birth plan.
  
• ​I will stay with you throughout your labor and delivery.
  
• I will provide emotional support and physical comfort which includes massage, aromatherapy, relaxation techniques, pressure point therapy, breathing and positional techniques.
  
• I will provide an objective viewpoint and help you get the information you need to make an informed decision about your birth.
  
• I will help with the communication between you, your partner and your clinical care providers.
  
• I will encourage your partner to participate at their comfort level.
